AKEDAH INTERNATIONAL APS – GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bookings, purchases, and participation in any Event or service offered by Akedah International ApS (“Akedah”). By booking or attending any Event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
Article 1. Definitions
Throughout these Terms, the following definitions apply:
1.1 “Akedah” means Akedah International ApS, including Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling and all employees, assistants, and representatives.
1.2 “Event” means any course, seminar, coaching session, mentoring, workshop, or related activity organized by Akedah.
1.3 “Client” means any person, company, or organization that books, purchases, or attends any Event or service offered by Akedah.
1.4 “Website” means hempfling.com and/or akedah-international.com.
1.5 “In writing” includes both postal letters and email.
Article 2. General Terms
2.1 Clients must be 18 years of age or older, or have written parental or guardian consent to attend an Event.
2.2 All information provided during Events is for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional legal, financial, medical, or tax advice. Clients should seek appropriate professional advice for their individual circumstances.
2.3 Bookings are personal and non-transferable. A binding booking is made in writing (by mail, email, or via the Website) and is confirmed only upon written confirmation from Akedah.
2.4 We recommend that Clients arrange comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance at the time of booking. Clients attending with horses are also encouraged to arrange appropriate equine insurance.
2.5 Some Event activities are physically and mentally demanding. Clients participate entirely at their own risk and should seek medical advice before attending if there is any doubt about their suitability to participate. Clients may step out of any exercise at any time.
2.6 Clients are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable visa and entry requirements. Akedah is not liable for any costs or consequences arising from failure to obtain a required visa.
2.7 Clients agree to comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws during any Event or visit to Akedah premises. Copyright notices, brand names, and trademarks must not be removed from any materials.
2.8 Akedah may collect and use Client personal information for the purposes of administering bookings and providing agreed services, in accordance with applicable data protection law.
2.9 The description of any Event represents its intended focus and starting point. In the course of his work, Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling may determine that the Client’s underlying needs are best addressed through a different approach, discipline, or subject than originally described. Clients acknowledge and accept this as an integral part of KFH’s working method, and agree that a redirection of the Event content in this spirit does not constitute a failure to deliver the booked service.
2.10 Any information provided by Akedah or its staff regarding accommodation, travel, catering, or other logistical matters is offered in good faith as a courtesy. Akedah bears no responsibility or liability in connection with any such information or any arrangements made on the basis of it.
2.11 Promotional materials, photographs, and descriptions of Events — whether in print, online, or otherwise — are intended to give a general impression of the Event and do not form part of the contract.
2.12 The Client is liable for any damage to Akedah’s facilities or premises caused by their negligent, reckless, or wilful actions, or those of any family members or dependants accompanying them. Akedah reserves the right to claim damages accordingly.
2.13 In the event of injury or medical emergency on the premises, and given that Events often take place in remote locations where timely professional assistance may not be immediately available, Akedah may arrange necessary medical assistance on the Client’s behalf, or on behalf of any family members or dependants accompanying them, as a precautionary measure. Any costs incurred remain the Client’s responsibility. By attending, the Client authorises Akedah to take such steps in good faith and in the interest of their safety, and agrees not to hold Akedah liable for any decisions made or actions taken under this provision.
Article 3. Events
3.1 Each Client is responsible for familiarising themselves with and complying with all Event requirements as set out in these Terms and in the Event description.
3.2 All Clients are expected to behave in a professional and courteous manner toward other participants, staff, teachers, and assistants at all times during an Event and while on Akedah premises.
3.3 Suitable clothing and appropriate footwear are required at all times during Events, particularly during any horse work.
3.4 The form, content, and teaching methods of Events are determined by Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling and/or his assistants, who may freely choose themes and subjects. Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling may at any time introduce tasks or exercises related to personal development and coaching as part of an Event. This includes assessments, observations, and actions in this field, and is an integral part of his working method. Clients acknowledge and accept this freedom as essential to the quality and effectiveness of the work.
3.5 Events may include the presence of additional assistants, observers, or guest participants, and may be combined with other groups, at the discretion of Akedah. Parts of an Event may be delivered by licensed teachers or assistants on behalf of Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling.
3.6 All Event materials are provided for the Client’s personal use only and may not be shared, copied, or distributed. Akedah reserves the right to claim damages for any breach of this requirement.
3.7 Recordings (photo, audio, or video) by anyone other than Akedah staff are strictly prohibited during Events and on Akedah premises, without prior written permission. Akedah reserves the right to claim damages for violations.
3.8 Unless a written license has been granted by Akedah, the Client may not advertise, work, or publicly identify themselves in association with the name of Akedah or Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling in any context or medium.
3.9 Where a written license is granted, Akedah and Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling reserve the right to revoke it under the conditions specified at the time of issue.
3.10 If a Client does not attend a booked Event without prior cancellation, no refund will be issued.
Article 4. Enrollment, Fees & Payment
4.1 Akedah reserves the right to accept or decline any booking. Enrollment is confirmed only after receipt of the required payment.
4.2 Invoices are payable within 14 days of receipt, in full and without deduction. Payment by installment or under special conditions is not available unless explicitly agreed in writing by Akedah in advance.
4.3 All fees paid are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in these Terms. Akedah is not liable for any additional losses incurred by the Client, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, or loss of time.
4.4 All Events are subject to VAT at the current applicable rate, unless stated otherwise.
4.5 In the event of late or missed payments, Akedah reserves the right to cancel the booking. Akedah is not liable for any further losses arising from such cancellation.
4.6 Akedah reserves the right to change the venue within the same country due to unforeseen circumstances, without liability for any associated costs.
4.7 Attending an Event with a horse requires explicit prior written invitation from Akedah. Even where such approval has been given, Akedah retains the right to decline the horse upon arrival if circumstances require it, without liability for any resulting costs including transport or stabling.
4.8 Akedah reserves the right to update its fees and pricing at any time without prior notice. Current fees are always available on the Website.
Article 5. Copyright
5.1 All materials provided by Akedah are protected by copyright under national and international law. This applies to all content in any format or medium, whether digital, print, audio, video, or otherwise. Materials may not be stored, copied, reproduced, published, sold, or redistributed without express written permission from Akedah.
5.2 By default, the license to use any provided materials is granted to the Client personally and is non-transferable. Materials may only be accessed or used by the Client on a single device at a time and may not be shared with or viewed by others.
5.3 If you become aware of any misuse of Akedah copyright materials, please report it to: info@akedah-international.com
5.4 Failure to comply with these copyright terms may result in exclusion from current and future Events, and Akedah reserves the right to seek damages and recover legal costs arising from any violation.
Article 6. Accommodation & Stabling
6a. Accommodation (where applicable)
6.1 Clients are expected to keep all shared and private spaces clean and tidy. Akedah reserves the right to require a Client to find alternative accommodation at their own cost if these standards are not maintained, without entitlement to a refund.
6.2 If accommodation becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond Akedah’s control — including but not limited to fire, flood, structural damage, or other force majeure events — Akedah will make reasonable efforts to arrange suitable alternative accommodation. Akedah is not liable for any inconvenience, additional costs, or losses arising from such circumstances.
6.3 Where accommodation is included in the Event fee, Akedah may arrange suitable accommodation as required, including hotels or other appropriate facilities. Single-room bookings may on rare occasions, require shared occupancy due to unforeseen travel or logistical circumstances.
6b. Horse Stabling (where applicable)
6.4 Stabling, bedding, straw, and hay are included in the stable rental price. All other costs are the sole responsibility of the horse owner, including but not limited to veterinary care, farrier, worming treatments, vaccinations, supplements, riding and grooming equipment, and transport.
6.5 Pasture access cannot be guaranteed in terms of frequency, duration, or size of area. Akedah provides facilities in accordance with local animal welfare standards. Horse owners are responsible for the daily care, feeding, and grooming of their horses, and for maintaining stables, boxes, and related areas in accordance with Akedah guidelines.
6.6 Akedah and its staff accept no liability for any injury, damage, behaviour, or costs relating to a Client’s horse, whether on or off the premises or arising from the stay. Clients are fully liable for any damage or injury caused by their horse at any time. Comprehensive equine insurance is strongly recommended.
6.7 All safety instructions and guidelines issued by Akedah and its staff — whether written or verbal — must be observed and followed at all times while on the premises. This applies to all aspects of horse care and stable management.
Article 7. House Rules & Visiting
7.1 All Clients, guests, and visitors are expected to follow all posted rules and any written or oral instructions given by Akedah staff, and to treat everyone on the premises — including staff, teachers, and other Clients — with courtesy and respect at all times. Should any doubt arise regarding a Client’s conduct, Akedah reserves the right to require the Client to find alternative accommodation at their own expense, without entitlement to a refund. Akedah further reserves the right to claim damages where appropriate.
7.2 Access to Akedah premises is permitted only with Akedah’s approval and in designated areas. Premises include both public and private areas and Clients are expected to respect these boundaries at all times.
7.3 Akedah reserves the right to exclude any Client whose conduct damages the reputation of Akedah or its staff, or who breaches these Terms. In such cases no refund will be given and Akedah reserves the right to claim damages. Akedah is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings, valuables, or luggage on its premises.
7.4 Clients with a medical condition or disability that may affect their participation are required to inform Akedah at the time of booking. Akedah will endeavour to make appropriate arrangements where possible. Where such information has not been provided at the time of booking, Akedah cannot be held responsible for any inability to accommodate the Client’s needs, and reserves the right to cancel the booking if appropriate provision cannot be made.
7.5 All Clients agree to respect the privacy of Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling, other participants, and Akedah staff. Personal matters shared during Events are shared in trust and must be kept strictly confidential. They may not be disclosed, discussed, or referred to outside the Event in any form.
7.6 Clients agree not to make any false, misleading, or defamatory statements about Akedah, Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling, or any member of Akedah staff in any public forum, including but not limited to social media, review platforms, or any other online or print publication. This clause does not prevent Clients from sharing genuine and accurate personal experiences. Akedah reserves the right to seek damages for any violation of this clause that causes reputational or financial harm.
Article 8. Cancellation & Termination
8.1 Clients may leave an Event at any time without providing a reason. No refund will be given for early departure.
8.2 Akedah may cancel an Event due to unforeseen circumstances, illness of the lecturer, or force majeure. In such cases, fees paid will be refunded in full, or transferred to another Event at the Client’s request. Akedah is not liable for any additional costs incurred by the Client.
8.3 In the event of deliberate or negligent breach of these Terms by the Client, Akedah reserves the right to exclude the Client from the Event with immediate effect. No refund will be given and Akedah reserves the right to claim damages where appropriate.
8.4 Upon any termination of this Agreement, for whatever reason, the Client is required to vacate the premises of Akedah immediately.
8.5 Any refunds are made without interest or correction for currency fluctuation.
Article 9. Liability & Release
9.1 Participation in any Event or activity organised by Akedah — including but not limited to coaching, physical exercises, sensory activities, work with horses, and the use of any related equipment — involves inherent risk. Participation is entirely at the Client’s own risk and responsibility.
9.2 The Client acknowledges the risks associated with equine activities and other exercises, which may result in property damage, bodily injury, or death. By attending, the Client releases and discharges Akedah and its staff from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from use of facilities or presence on Akedah premises.
9.3 The Client agrees to indemnify and defend Akedah and its staff against any claims, costs, or legal expenses arising from their presence or activities on the premises, as well as from any misuse of Akedah’s websites or online resources.
9.4 Unless explicitly stated otherwise in these Terms, Akedah is not liable for any additional costs incurred by the Client in connection with any Event, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, transport, or loss of time, regardless of the reason for which they arise. Akedah and its staff are not liable for any injuries, or losses sustained by the Client outside of Akedah premises, including during travel.
9.5 All Clients must hold valid health insurance for the duration of the Event. Akedah is not responsible for any medical expenses incurred.
9.6 The consulting and coaching advice provided by Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling and his team is based on professional knowledge and experience. Akedah does not guarantee specific results and the outcome of any advice or recommendations provided remains solely the responsibility of the Client. The Client acknowledges and accepts that the use of any advice given is entirely at their own risk, and agrees to release and indemnify Akedah from any claims or liabilities related to advice given.
9.7 All content provided by Akedah — whether via the YouTube channel, phone, online, or in-person — including sensory exercises and meditations, is for educational and entertainment purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical or therapeutic advice. Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling is not a medical professional or licensed therapist, and no therapeutic relationship is created by engaging with this content. Participation is entirely voluntary and at the Client’s own risk. Akedah bears no liability for any injuries, damages, or negative outcomes resulting from the use of information provided. These activities may not be suitable for everyone — Clients with any medical condition, disability, or psychological concern are strongly advised to consult a qualified healthcare professional before participating.
9.8 Where the Client is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must sign the Akedah Release Form before the minor may attend. Akedah reserves the right to refuse access if this form has not been completed.
9.9 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Akedah’s total liability to the Client in connection with any Event or service — whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise — shall not exceed the total fees actually paid by the Client for the Event in question. This limitation applies to all claims collectively and regardless of the form of action.
9.10 The protections, limitations, and exclusions of liability set out in these Terms apply to Akedah International ApS and to Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling individually, each as separate and independent beneficiaries of these provisions. A claim against one does not affect the protections available to the other.
Article 10. Right of Publicity
10.1 Akedah reserves the right to make photographs, audio, and video recordings during Events for internal documentation, quality assurance, and educational purposes. Clients are informed of this practice at the time of booking and by attending the Event they acknowledge that recording may take place.
10.2 Any use of recordings or images in which a Client is clearly identifiable for external, commercial, or promotional purposes — including but not limited to website content, social media, and marketing materials — requires the Client’s prior written consent. Such consent will be requested separately and is entirely voluntary. Clients may withdraw consent for future use at any time by notifying Akedah in writing, though this does not affect any use already made prior to withdrawal.
10.3 Where the Client provides written consent for promotional use, Akedah may edit, adapt, and distribute the material for the agreed purposes. Akedah will not significantly alter or misrepresent the original content in any such materials. No financial compensation will be paid to the Client for such use, though any goodwill or publicity value resulting from the association with Akedah is acknowledged.
10.4 The Client grants Akedah a license to use any written testimonials, text, or other non-visual material they provide to Akedah for the purpose of feedback or testimonial, unless they state otherwise in writing at the time of providing it.
Article 11. Governing Law
11.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved under Danish law, and the Client agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts. Legal domicile is Denmark.
11.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be replaced by the nearest legally valid equivalent. All remaining provisions remain in full force.
11.3 These Terms, together with the written booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between Akedah and the Client on this subject matter. No verbal statement, representation, promise, or assurance made before or during an Event by Akedah or its staff shall form part of this agreement or give rise to any obligation or liability unless confirmed in writing. Any conflicting or deviating conditions of the Client do not apply.
Article 12. Special Activities: Firearms
12.1 This article applies to any Event or activity offered by Akedah that involves the use of firearms (“Shooting Activity”). Participation in any Shooting Activity is subject to these Terms in addition to the specific conditions set out in this article.
12.2 Participation in any Shooting Activity is strictly limited to individuals who meet all applicable legal requirements in the country where the activity takes place. It is the Client’s responsibility to confirm their eligibility before booking. Akedah is not liable for any consequences arising from a Client’s failure to establish or maintain their eligibility.
12.3 As a condition of booking any Shooting Activity, the Client is required to provide Akedah with relevant background information prior to confirmation. This includes but is not limited to their professional background, role, and any other information reasonably requested by Akedah to assess suitability. Akedah treats all such information with strict confidentiality.
12.4 Akedah reserves the right to reject any participant from a Shooting Activity at its sole discretion, including but not limited to concerns related to mental health, criminal history, or any other factor that may impact the safety of the participant or others. No liability arises from such a decision and no refund will be given.
12.5 All Shooting Activities take place exclusively in authorised and controlled facilities, under the supervision of an experienced, licensed coach. Clients must follow all safety instructions and guidelines at all times. Failure to do so may result in immediate exclusion from the activity without refund.
12.6 Participation of minors in any Shooting Activity requires prior written approval from Akedah, which reserves the right to decline such participation at its sole discretion regardless of guardian accompaniment. Where approval is granted, the minor must be accompanied by their legal guardian at all times throughout the activity.
12.7 Clients are strongly encouraged to disclose any medical or psychological condition that may be relevant to participation in a Shooting Activity at the time of booking. Where such information is not provided, Akedah cannot be held responsible for any inability to accommodate the Client’s needs, and reserves the right to cancel the booking without refund if appropriate provision cannot be made.
12.8 Shooting Activities are only offered in jurisdictions where they are lawfully permitted. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that participation is permitted under the laws of their country of residence and the country where the activity takes place. Akedah is not liable for any consequences arising from a Client’s failure to comply with applicable local laws or regulations.
12.9 The combination of Shooting Activities with coaching and consulting programs may not be suitable for everyone. Clients are encouraged to consult their healthcare provider before participating if they have any doubt about their suitability.
12.10 Where a Shooting Activity forms part of a broader coaching or consulting program, the general liability and release provisions of Article 9 apply in full alongside the specific conditions of this article.
